Can anyone help with recording using M-Audio Fast Track Pro and Sonar Cakewalk? - m audio fast track pro

I have bought recently, M-Audio Fast Track Pro, I try to, songs to include on the guitar. My guitar is plugged and entry lights that show, Fast Track Pro also receives information from the guitar. However, it does not seem to rely on my laptop. I see nothing of my Fast Track Pro Any suggestions?
